Tibo is a problem-solver who loves the challenge of making physical machines talk to digital systems. With years of experience programming assembly lines for the automotive industry, he knows exactly how to build a strong foundation on the shop floor.
Tibo always liked keeping his options open. He chose a broad electromechanical path in high school and college because he wanted to explore different technical directions. However, he quickly realised his preference for programming during a project where he had to restore a packaging machine from scratch, wiring it and programming the PLCs so it could fold and glue boxes automatically.
He spent the first four and a half years of his career taking on projects in the automotive industry. He handled the full lifecycle of PLC programming for major car manufacturers, setting up complex transport systems and robot assembly lines.
While he loved the technical challenges and writing the code, the job required him to travel abroad constantly. He wanted a change of pace that kept him closer to home without sacrificing the automation work he loved.
Jurgen reached out on LinkedIn right around the time Tibo started looking for a new direction, and Coretecs caught his attention. He liked the modern focus on Industry 4.0 and the opportunity to expand his skills into SCADA systems.
Today, Tibo applies his PLC experience to build intelligent factory layers. He is currently working on client projects to integrate physical sensors and motors with visual interfaces, and he is about to get his official Ignition certification.
When he is not programming factories, Tibo likes to stay active. He goes to the gym, runs, and snowboards during the winter. He also loves going to summer music festivals and playing challenging video games like The Witcher and Dark Souls.
