At the start of 2025, our focus was clear: moving Unified Namespace from pilot concepts to production-ready reality. Demand came quickly, and rather than scaling prematurely, we concentrated on defining concrete use cases and delivering robust first deployments with our customers.

At the very start of 2026, we've clearly got our work cut out for us: scaling more than ever and turning those validated use cases into even more implementations. So, as part of a yearly tradition by now, our three managing partners sat down to reflect on the past year and share their vision for the future.

2025: the year of validation

Looking back, 2025 was a massive year for Coretecs... and for Unified Namespace in general, if we're being honest. We spent years spreading the word and finally saw it take off, culminating in a successful first edition of our UNS Executive summit.

In total, we welcomed 16 new manufacturing and utilities customers to our family, including industry leaders like Soudal and Unilin. We set up lots of Proofs of Concept and managed the first rollouts that show the power of bridging the gap between OT and IT.

2025 was the year where our 'concept' matured into a proven reality. We saw our pilot projects evolve into scalable solutions. We are proud to say that the manufacturing industry is embracing the change.
Mathias Knop

2025 was also the year where we solidified our preferred solutions: Ignition, Canary, HiveMQ and Tulip. While we remain independent, we noticed that they provide the best results in the majority of use cases. Of course, we'll keep testing new solutions to create the most value for our clients and make changes where necessary.

2026: the year of scaling up and looking out

So, with such a great year behind us, what's next? Well, a whole lot! In 2026, we're focusing our efforts on three pillars: expanding our horizons, setting up a service organisation, and integrating AI into our own processes. Let's take a closer look.

A global horizon

This year, we are looking across the border. Well, more than we used to. We’re still proudly rooted in Belgium, and that's not changing anytime soon. However, our character has always been international. Our clients operate globally and so do we.

Our ambition follows our clients. As they scale their digital transformation globally, we are ready to scale with them. We deliver the same expertise and quality whether the factory is in Antwerp or Nevada.
Adrien Bousez

In 2026, we see huge potential to keep scaling our solutions to international sites. We're already assisting with factories in countries like France and Luxembourg and remotely in the USA. Opening offices abroad isn't part of the plan (yet), but we’re fully equipped and ready to support even more global rollouts, either remotely or by travelling to sites.

A new support organisation

A big change for us internally, but a necessary one. Our implementations are quickly becoming the backbone of our clients' operations, so support during business hours is no longer enough. When your factory runs 24/7, you need a partner who is there 24/7.

We are evolving from a project partner to a lifecycle partner. Building a robust system is step one. Keeping it running flawlessly for years to come is step two. That is why we are putting a huge focus on our service organisation this year.
Jurgen Petré

That's why we are currently setting up a business-critical service organisation. This goes beyond fixing bugs: it is about guaranteeing resilience and peace of mind. We are investing in the team and the tools to ensure our customers can rely on us around the clock.

AI-enabled engineering

If there's one thing that was hard to miss in 2025, it's artificial intelligence. In fact, we gained some great insights about using AI in manufacturing from our panel conversation with industry experts. Make sure to watch the full video or catch up on the most important learnings in our blog if you haven't already.

But AI has many use cases, beyond deploying it for our clients to optimise their processes. In 2026, we are taking it a step further and will also use AI to optimise ourselves. We're embedding it into our development core, to do things like automating the generation of code structures and standardising payload definitions. This helps our engineers focus on what they do best and deliver value faster.

Ready to build the future of industry with us?

We've got great things ahead, and we'd love for you to be part of it. Are you a manufacturer looking to scale your digital operations? Or a talented engineer looking for a team driven by passion? 2026 is going to be an exciting ride, so let’s make it happen together.
