Mathias is passionate about IT in industrial settings and thrives on seeing the real-world impact of his software solutions. As Belgium’s first Certified SIRI Assessor (CSA), he focuses on a comprehensive approach to digital transformation journeys.
With a father that’s an IT consultant and a lifelong interest in technology, it’s no small wonder that Mathias chose to study industrial engineering with a specialisation in IT and electronics. The combination of theory and practical applications proved to be a perfect fit, and he quickly pursued various internships to hone his skills in the field while setting up his own home automation system.
After graduating summa cum laude, he started working at Yokogawa as an application engineer and developed various software applications for industrial settings. Gradually, his interest in digital transformation propelled him towards a role as a global business analyst, where he discovered the importance of an Agile way of working and collaborating with diverse cultures.
However, a true entrepreneur never sits still. Mathias decided to become a business manager in an engineer consultancy firm, where he learned the intricacies of recruitment, sales, and financial management. After gaining some more experience as a freelancer, he decided to start his own company together with Jurgen and Adrien, and Coretecs saw the light of day.
In his free time, Mathias likes to play golf and travel with his wife and border collie.
