From point-to-point chaos to Unified Namespace: The IT/OT Journey of Unilin

With 35 production sites worldwide, Unilin was reaching the limits of an IT/OT landscape that had evolved organically over time: point-to-point integrations, significant differences between plants and no shared reference architecture.

Together with Coretecs, Unilin started a structured technology selection process that resulted in a Unified Namespace architecture based on Ignition, MQTT, Timescale and Grafana.

During this session, Tom Vergote, Digital Operations Lead at Unilin, and Mathias Knop, Managing Partner at Coretecs, will take you through that journey: from the first pilots on the factory floor to a rollout across multiple plants in three business units, running on Kubernetes/OpenShift infrastructure.

They’ll also look at how that foundation is being put to work through concrete use cases, including condition-based maintenance, SAP integration for preventive maintenance and vision AI.
